Rebranding the digital accounting platform for the modern day freelancer.

Context


Formerly known as ContaPFA, Solo embarked on a mission to revolutionize the way freelancers manage their finances in Romania. With an innovative subscription-based app, they streamlined and digitized the cumbersome process of accounting, liberating freelancers from bureaucratic hassles that have been unchanged for decades.

Problem


Freelancers in Romania have long endured the tedious process of managing their finances, characterized by bureaucracy, long queues, and frustrating interactions with government officials. ContaPFA recognized the need for a modern solution that simplifies accounting tasks, but were in need of a brand identity that was on par with their product.

Solution


ContaPFA rebranded as Solo, reflecting the individualistic nature of freelancing and the app's autonomy. The new identity system was crafted to capture the essence of Solo's mission: to alleviate the uncertainties and complexities of freelance accounting. The logotype, featuring undulating lines, symbolizes the ups and downs freelancers face in navigating bureaucratic hurdles, while also representing the smooth, intuitive experience Solo offers. Additionally a UI guideline was created for the app to secure visual consistency. Solo went on to shine in the spotlight with a successful pitch and secured investments on the Romanian version of the popular TV show Shark Tank.
